Title: “Rehabili-Cation”

Logline: A hardworking couple in desperate need of a romantic vacation, scheme to pose as a sex addict, and pothead so that they may attend a beautiful subsidized rehab facility, for an affordable long summer vacation, what could go wrong…everything!

Synopsis: “Rehabili-Cation” antecedents include “Couples Retreat” and “Wanderlust.” The story is about a highly relatable, attractive couple, in their mid to late 30s, in desperate need of a romantic extended vacation. The wife, Cindie, is a high school drama teacher like myself. She decides that she should pose as a pothead, and her law enforcement husband as a sex addict, in order to enroll in a subsidized rehab facility, for an affordable summer vacation. Of course it won’t be easy getting in, Cindie will have to actually start smoking pot to fail a drug test. She will also have to trust her in-laws to babysit the boys all summer, while they claim to be feeding orphans on a mission trip. Of course the real mayhem ensues when they arrive at the facility, and all is not like the brochure. The couple will face insurmountable obstacles standing in their way, such as bizarre and inappropriate staff, patients and owner, early morning wake up calls, curfews, work duty, mandatory church and group counselling, gardening, blackmail, separate living arrangements, and temptations of the flesh! Since they can’t return to work without completing their programs, and their stay is nonrefundable, they can’t leave. The vacation that was to bring this couple closer together just might tear them apart, unless they can learn to work together. One couple, one dream, one scheme…what could go wrong, everything!

Title: “At First Sight”

Logline: At first sight, an attractive hospital intern falls for his mentor, whose marriage is on the rocks, her moment of weakness leads to an affair that turns into an abduction of her mind, body, and heart!

Synopsis: “At First Sight” is when “The Boy Next Door” Doesn’t lead to a “Fatal Attraction!” An attractive young male medical intern falls hard for his mentor resident. Her marriage is on the rocks since she has changed her mind after years of marriage, and wants to have a baby. The young intern, Hunter Grinds blackmails Grace our leading lady into having one last night with him in his families secluded cabin. That night leads to an abduction. Hunter is not your typical antagonist, as he wants to give our heroine everything, including a
baby. Hunter’s mad love for Grace will cost her the freedom of choice. Although she will play mind games with him in attempt to escape, she is not successful. Eventually she will give birth to their child in the cabin. In the end, our strong leading lady will have to decide if she can use the scissors used to cut the babies umbilical cord or to stab her captor. Will she be able to do it, or will she too eventually find “Love At First Sight?”
